Found in foaming products. Readily absorbed into skin, contains hormone disrupting chemicals, linked to an increased risk of cancer, carcinogenic.
See phthalates. Contains potentially thousands of unidentified ingredients, many toxic and carcinogenic. Linked to cancer, birth defects, chronic skin afflictions, nervous system and hormonal imbalances, brain damage, headaches and respiratory ailments.
Also know as Imidazolidinyl urea. Common alternative preservative to parabens. Classified as a known human carcinogen, formaldehyde releasing agent and skin irritant.
Glycine based preservative. Often touted as natural but in fact heavily processed and unsafe. Skin and eye irritant.
Sheep’s hide derived. Sticky, challenging for the skin and triggers moisture dependency for the skin. Often contaminated with insecticides and pesticides.
Includes paraffin products. Coats the skin with a smothering, impenetrable barrier. Interferes with the skin’s natural metabolic functions, promotes acne, eczema, rosacea and the signs of aging.
Preservative. Highly carcinogenic, allergenic, toxic and possessing hormone-disrupting properties.
See mineral oil. Petrochemical derived from crude oil. Creates an impenetrable barrier that prevents anything from getting in or out and promotes common and severe skin imbalances.
The new paraben-like preservative. Highly toxic, damaging to the nervous system, kidneys, repiratory system and digestive tract. Can trigger sever allergic reactions and lethal to small animals.

Derived from natural gas, used as wetting agent, solvent and to break down protein. Active ingredient in antifreeze. Quick penetrating and toxic, it is linked to brain, kidney and liver damage, as well as contact dermatitis, respiratory troubles, skin and eye irritation.
Listed as dimethicone, dimethicone copplyol or cyclomethicone. Toxic, accumulates in liver and lymph nodes, irritating to the skin. Smothers the skin, inhibiting natural metabolic functions. Not biodegradable and damaging to the environment through waste water.
Sodium Laurel/Laureth Sulfate
Sudsing agent, often deceptively labeled as coconut or plant based. Highly allergenic, harsh and extremely processed. Impacts immune system function negatively, penetrates major organs and residuals remain in the body’s tissues.
Tints and bleaching agents commonly used to give products a more appealing hue. Contains a multitude of unnamed ingredients, linked to skin allergies, chronic skin conditions.
Linked to respiratory disorders and cancer. Toxic. Do not use on babies or children.
A formaldehyde releasing ingredient, used for preservation. Highly toxic, irritating to the respiratory system, can cause joint-pain, chest pains, chronic fatigue, depression, chronic skin allergies, headaches. May weaken the immune system and has been linked to cancer.
